CONTACT PLANNING

Choose the fields for a public contact card

Build a useful contact QR using only the name and public details that should travel with the card.

A contact QR can contain a name, organization, email, phone and website. Every included field travels with the symbol, so the design starts with an information choice. RSContactTag creates a static vCard payload; it does not decide which details you intend to make public.

Start with the purpose of the card

Decide whether the card represents a business contact, a public support role or another specific use. Include the fields a recipient needs for that purpose. A public organization email and website may be enough for one card, while another needs a work phone. Avoid filling optional fields merely because the form offers them. A smaller useful set is easier to verify and maintain.

Use the intended public details

Enter the contact name and organization as they should appear in an imported contact. Use a complete HTTP or HTTPS address for the optional website and review the email spelling. If a phone is included, use a form that the intended recipient can dial and check its country context. Fictional demonstration values are for learning, not a substitute for checking the real card information.

Remember that encoding is not privacy protection

The QR carries its vCard fields directly. A person who obtains the image can decode the details without using this website. Only include information you are entitled to share. RSContactTag processes the entered fields locally, but that does not make a downloaded or printed contact card private after you distribute it. Decide its audience before placing it on a public page or sign.

Check the imported contact, not just the image

Scan the generated code with a suitable device and review the fields before saving. Confirm name, organization, email, phone and website where present. Devices can interpret contact fields differently, so verify the intended handoff. Keep a source record of the approved public details and update the card artwork when those details change rather than relying on memory of a previous import.
