ARTWORK HANDOFF
Choose PNG or SVG for a contact QR layout
Select an export suited to the layout application and preserve the code proportions and clear border.
RSContactTag provides a PNG and an SVG for the same contact payload. Their intended layout roles differ, but neither format automatically makes a badly sized or cluttered code readable. Choose a file your design application handles correctly and verify the final card rather than judging the extension alone.
Use PNG as a defined raster asset
The PNG export is 1024 pixels wide and includes the white margin. It is useful when the receiving editor accepts raster images and the code will be placed without unnecessary resampling. Check the saved dimensions before placing it. Avoid repeatedly enlarging a tiny screenshot of the code, and do not use a photo of the on-screen preview as a substitute for the actual exported file.
Use SVG in a compatible vector layout
The SVG describes the code as scalable artwork for a vector-aware application. Import it without altering the proportions or applying decorative effects to the modules. Check that the editor renders it as expected and that the exported card retains the intended white background and margin. Vector artwork helps with resizing, but the physical symbol still needs enough space to be read in the final conditions.
Keep surrounding content outside the code area
Place the contact name and any instruction beside the code rather than on top of it. Preserve the provided clear border when cropping or arranging the card. A frame or background texture should not invade that blank area. If the design uses a dark card background, retain the complete light code panel so the pattern is distinct from its surroundings.
Test the final handoff in both directions
Inspect the final saved card or print sample and scan it with a suitable device. Then check the contact preview, including every field you chose to distribute. A correctly rendered symbol can still contain a wrong email address; correct fields can still be difficult to scan in an unsuitable layout. Keep the accepted export and source details together so future revisions repeat the verified artwork workflow.
